Who I am as a designer? (30.01.2012)
I am a half professional designer. From my student experience I have basic skills in working with clients. I know the whole design process and from what it consists. For me, design is not a solution of world global problems, but solve the problems of user comfort, making all things for people, to make life easier; to solve the potential client’s problem. I like simplicity in design and accessibility of the design ideas for everyone. My favorite areas of design are furniture, lighting and appliances. I think that exeperiment is one of the main part of the design and in every area you can experiment differently. Choosing materials, colors, shapes - this is experiment. I am a designer - realist and so I like to make things that can be realized within a maximum of 3-5 years. Unfortunately I have not enough confidence in my ideas and sometimes it is very hard for me to prove that my idea is the best and my future product will be very popular on the market and useful for society. Now I am not find myself in a one special area of product design. I’ve done many different projects and selected spheres, in which I would be happy to work in the future - lighting, furniture and maybe gadgets. My goal in this areas is to find someting new in everyday things and to make not one chair or lamp, but something not so habitual, but at the same time relevant and popular for market.
